Discover HVAC Tax Rebates with Help from Blue Heating & Cooling

Picture this – you wake up during the weekend on a particularly cold winter day and something doesn’t seem right. The floor is cold on your feet. You walk out to the kitchen, and it’s chillier than usual. Placing your hand on a vent, you notice no warm air is coming out.

Soon, you’re on the phone with Blue. We respond right away and ensure a comprehensive investigation into your furnace. While in certain situations we’re able to make adjustments and repairs, a furnace at the end of its life (about 15-20 years) may need to be replaced.

This isn’t a home expense you were expecting. However, there’s good news, too. If you’ve worked with Blue in the past, or you’ve done your research and read our testimonials, you know that we do everything we can to ensure a high-quality installation that saves you money and provides you with excellent equipment to keep your family cozy when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot.

Blue Heating and Cooling always has a solution to make your HVAC installation more affordable for homeowners in the Kansas City area. Not only do we provide an exceptional installation experience to deliver better heating and cooling and help you save on your energy bills, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about HVAC tax credits for home energy efficiency.

What Blue Can Do to Help You with HVAC Tax Rebate

When you get your furnace installed with Blue Heating and Cooling, we can provide all the literature and guidance you need to navigate the sometimes complicated process of getting an HVAC tax credit.

Here are some of the most important points you need to know about saving on your furnace through tax credits and rebates:

  • If you purchase a new furnace from Blue, we ensure you get the most cost-effective and best performing furnace for your budget. Our manufacturing partners Lennox and Trane offer the latest furnace technology, including energy-efficiency features to ensure you’re eligible for available tax rebates.
  • If you live in Missouri, you can claim up to $1,000 per individual tax filing or $2,000 for a joint return. However, you can’t claim a rebate from a utility-company sponsored program in the same year.
  • In Kansas, there is not a comparable HVAC credit. You can access your energy provider’s tax credit, as well as federal tax credits for energy efficiency.
  • Federal tax credits are available for items you buy that improve energy efficiency, including your furnace. The total limit for your tax credit is $2,000 in any given year, so if you are installing a new furnace, keep in mind that this claim is worth up to $600 (or 30% of your project’s total cost). This leaves you with an additional $1,400 in tax credits to claim related to your HVAC system, including credits for central air conditioning.
  • You can also claim a rebate of up to $1,200 from Evergy when you purchase an energy-efficient furnace. You can bundle this rebate with your federal tax credit and experience significant savings. Evergy rebates only apply in certain service areas, which you can check by visiting their website.
  • If Spire is your provider, you can get up to $300 in rebates on your new, energy-efficient home furnace.
  • Rebates are also available from our manufacturing partners. As we install your furnace, we provide the information you need to contact them and file your rebate right away.

Many of our customers have taken advantage of the credits, rebates, and promotions available to them, while also benefiting from a brand-new, high-performing furnace installed by our expert technicians. We love to see our customers save just as much as we love helping to keep their homes comfortable.
